Wolcott Street School Library

Wolcott Street School in LeRoy went through a huge construction remodel during 2016. This included the addition of a school library. Previously, the school shared a library with the  town's public library. Within the walls of this library there is a small nook that is being dedicated in Cris' name. The Memorial Fund will donate all of the decor and furniture that will be in this nook. These pictures are the before, during and after photos of the space. The children of the school can't wait to get to library so that they can read in "the garden". Reilly, Cris' daughter teachers first grade at the school and she loves seeing the joy on the children's faces as she sees children enjoying the space from Kindergarten all the way until 4th grade!

After hearing about "the garden" in Cris' name, her generous coworkers at Victor ECS put together a donation of plush dolls and books so that children at LeRoy could enjoy them. The box was overflowing with beautiful dolls and brand new books!

At Reilly's bridal shower in May 2017, guests were asked to bring a book to donate to the library. Her friends and family surprised her with two boxes stuffed full of books to donate. Many of these books were donated to the Wolcott Street School library as they were still trying to fill their shelves with books since opening in March of 2017.

In May 2018 we were able to purchase a donation of books to the Wolcott Street School library. These books will be checked out by children in grades Pre-K through 6 in LeRoy. Children can enjoy these books while reading in the garden dedicated to Cris with a stuffed reading buddy. This donation was made possible through the donation from the Tri The Oatka committee.
